The Friends of Newtowne Manor House, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to ensuring that the Newtowne Manor House, an 18th century structure, is preserved and restored so that future generations may gain an understanding of and appreciation for its historical significance.

The Friends of Newtowne Manor House is dedicated to the careful planning and implementation of the building’s restoration. This organization is committed to protecting and providing stewardship of this significant 18th century structure, and through these efforts maintain an important aspect of our collective heritage for future generations.

TECHNICAL

• Assess the structural integrity of the Newtowne Manor House.
• Assess the immediate surrounding area of the Newtowne Manor House.
• Stabilize the brick structure from the existing environmental elements.
• Engage appropriate consultants to assist in developing a preservation/restoration plan.
• Conduct drainage survey.
• Conduct a preliminary archeology survey around the Newtowne Manor House.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Formalize the role of The Friends of Newtowne Manor House as stewards of the preservation of the Manor House with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Archdiocese and/or its designee.
• Become officially designated as a 501c3 non-profit organization.
• Conduct archival research of the existing documents, including potential architectural drawings and plans from previous restoration efforts.
• Establish formal committees to assume responsibility for fundraising, publicity, out-reach, et al.
• Inform the SFX Parishioners and the community about The Friends' purpose and goals.
• Develop an out-reach strategy to engage the larger community.
• Begin the development of a full preservation plan in collaboration with the Parish/Archdiocese and the community.
• Establish an archival database of artifacts.
• Research and document the history of Newtowne Manor House.
